A gallery closure need not end the conversation around art. Arte Américas is continuing education beyond its Fresno building while renovations reshape the space, offering a way for groups to bring a cultural-learning experience to their own setting.
The center's current notices say its galleries are closed for Phase 1 renovations, with its FAQ describing work continuing through April 2027. Visitors should follow reopening and off-site updates rather than rely on an older page of regular gallery hours.
This fall, Arte Américas offers visiting programs around the Central Valley based on its annual Día de Muertos celebration. Sessions include an art-making activity and typically last about ninety minutes. The published rate is $15 per participant, with Monday, Wednesday and Friday scheduling between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., subject to availability.
Use the program request process and allow the stated two–three business days for a response. Confirm group size, location, access needs and what the session includes before committing. A thoughtful preparation might ask participants what they hope to understand about remembrance and art, leaving room for the educator's context rather than reducing the experience to a finished craft.
